Applicant further agrees that upon the expiration of the permit for which this application is made, if granted, or upon revocation thereof by the City Engineer, applicant will at his own cost and expense remove the same from the public property or right of way where the same is located, and restore said public property or right of way to the condition as nearly as that in which it was before the placing, erection, maintenance or existence of said encroachment. Applicant further agrees to obtain and keep all liability insurance required by the City Engineer in full force and effect for however long the encroachment remains. Applicant shall furnish the City Risk Manager with a certificate of insuance evidencing sufficient coverage for bodily injury or property damage liability of both and required endorsements evidencing the insurance required. Site Description The Site is located at 600 Brundage Lane in Bakersfield, California (see Figure 1 for Site location map). The Site is located in the SW 1/4 of SE 1/4, Sec. 31, T29S, R28E, Diablo Base and Meridian. The present property consists of a rectangular-shaped lot containing one building located in the Northeast corner (see Figure 2 for Site Plan). The building is currently occupied by a small retail business, Mr. Fast Gas & Liquors. Attached to the west side of the building is a fenced in storage area. Old dispenser islands and new dispenser islands are located along the south edge of the building. The property is bordered along its northern side by 1 sl Street, along its eastern side by T Street (on the South side of Brundage T Street becomes Berneta Avenue), along its southern side by Brundage Lane, and along its western side by the Kern Island Canal - Central Branch. Residential areas, interspersed with light commercial/industrial areas, are located adjacent to the Site. Vista High School is located just North of the Site. E2C, Inc Fig Street at Berneta Avenue Engineering and Traffic staff have reviewed the attached encroachment permit to allow the installation of 5 Monitoring Wells. The site is located on Fig Street at Bemeta Avenue. The applicant has provided proof of appropriate insurance coverage to Risk Management, and has provided signatures of all immediate neighbors stating that they have no objection to the proposed construction.
