Rojas, Public Works Director FROM: DATE: August 25, 1998 SUBJECT: Encroachment Permit Application for 816 Kingscross Donald Rose 4' High Block Pilaster and Wood Fence behind Sidewalk Engineering and Traffic staff have reviewed the attached encroachment permit to allow the installation of a block pilaster and wood fence behind the sidewalk. The site is located mid block between Monitor and Billabong Ct. The applicant has provided proof of appropriate insurance coverage to Risk Management, and has provided signatures of all immediate neighbors stating that they have no objection to the proposed construction. The fence to be installed must conform with the City's ordinance on clear site line, Chapter 17.08.175, and provide no obstruction to sight view within the triangular area formed by the driveway edge and e~ge of the sidewalk closest to the interior property line, or the street right-of-way line in the absence of a sidewalk, and a line connecting them at points ten feet from their intersecting point. Based on their review, staff recommends approval of the permit. ~/37i
