LaRochelle, Engineering Services Manager ~ September 12, 1997 ~(bt ~/11'1:h ;v ll:f 1/;0\ TO: DATE: SUBJECT: Encroachment Permit Application for 1800 1 CJh Street Lightspeed Net Installation of 6' High Concrete Block in Alley and Miscellaneous Sidewalk Improvements Engineering and Traffic staff have reviewed the attached encroachment permit to allow the installation of a 6' high concrete block wall in the alley and miscellaneous sidewalk improvements, The site is located at the corner of 19th Street and "P" Street and has Lightspeed Net's office and health facility on it, The wall as shown on the plan must be modified to provide the required clear sight view at the alley, as per BMC ~ 17,08,175, The applicant has provided proof of appropriate insurance coverage to the Building Department representative, Based on their review, and with the modification of the wall as outlined above, staff recommends approval of the permit. WALKER, TRAFFIC ENGINEER ~ SUBJECT: ENCROACHMENT PERMIT APPLICATION FOR 1800 19TH STREET, LIGHTSPEED NET, I have reviewed the application and have the following comment. Per Municipal code, 17.08.175, Clear sight view, liB, On all lots abutting an alley or driveway, no obstruction to sight view shall be permitted within the triangular area formed by the alley or driveway edge and edge of the sidewalk closest to the interior property line, or the street right-of-way line in the absence of a sidewalk, and a line connecting them at points ten feet from their intersecting point."
