LaRochelle, Eogineering Services Manager DATE: ~ October 31, 1997 SUBJECT: Encroachment Permit Application for Juliana Eid 2625 Bladen Street Installation of 6' high block wall along back of sidewalk Engineering and Traffic staff have reviewed the attached encroachment permit to allow the installation of a six foot high block wall along the back of the sidewalk, The site is located at the corner of Bladen and Curson Street. The Bakersfield Municipal Code limits the height of the wall in the front yard to four feet and requires that the wall be no more than three feet high within sixty feet of the Curson Street curb face, Also, this is a reversed corner lot. BMC ~ 17.08.180 C limits the height ofthe wall to four feet on the rear property line and the side yard within a triangle measuring twenty five feet along the rear fence and ten feet along the side property line of 2625 Bladen Street, Additionally, due to the driveway adjacent to the 2625 Bladen Street rear yard, no obstruction is allowed within the triangular area formed by the driveway edge and the edge of the sidewalk closest to the interior property line and a line connecting them at points ten feet from their intersecting point.
