The wood portion was aging and needed maintenance to provide necessary protection for the public from the swimming pool. I am told the fence is in code violation because it blocks sight-lines, I replaced the wood with concrete blocks placed on top of the pre-existing concrete block base. There was no change in the position of the fence which was built before current municipal code was enacted, I have enclosed photos to show the pre-existing fence, This photo wa') taken from the appraisal report prepared for me prior to my purchase of the property, I've also enclosed photos of the completed fence. The original concrete block base is obvious in the photo, I am respectfully requesting that my improvement be accepted under a "grandfather' clause, The new fence represents no greater obstruction than the original fence, and the public is better protected by the new fence.
