defend and hold harmless the City of Bakersfi'eld, its agents, officers and .

connected with the placing, erection or maintenance of said encroachment, the
applicant further agrees to maintain the aforesaid encroachment during the life
of the said encroachment or until such time that this permit is revoked.
Applicant further agrees that upon the expiration of the permit for which this
application is made, if granted, .or upon the revocation thereof by the City
Engineer, applicant will at his own cost and expense remove the same from the
public property or right of way where the same is located, and restore said
public property or right of way to the condition as nearly may be in which it was
before the placing, erection, maintenance or existence of said encroachment.

SUBJECT: ENCROACHMENT PERMIT APPLICATION-
TERRY LARRABEE, 5900 SHANDON LN.

We have reviewed the subject encroachment permit application. The
applicant is requesting approval for construction of a chain link
fence four feet high along the back of the sidewalk at 5900 Shandon
Ln. This is an existing fence recently installed along the back of
the sidewalk in the front yard. The fence meets the requirements
for height, sightline and pedestrian clearance and can be
recommended on that basis. Anonymous complaints have been received
regarding the fence by Traffic Engineering and Building Department.
