defend and hold harmless the City of Bakersfield, i~s agents, officers and
employees against and from all damages, judgments, claims, demands, expenses,
costs and expenditures, and against all loss or liability which the City of
Bakersfield or such officers, agents or employees may suffer, or which may be

Applicant further agrees that upon the expiration of the permit for which this
application is made, if granted, or upon the revocation thereof by the'City
Engineer, applicant will at his own cost and expense remove the same from the
public property or right of way where the same is located, and restore said
public property or right of way to the condition as nearly may be in which it was
before the placing, erection, maintenance or existence of said' encroachment.

SUBJECT: ENCROACHMENT PERMIT APPLICATION-
H. W. PARLEY ENTERPRISES, 1603 CALIFORNIA AVE.
We have reviewed the subject encroachment permit application. This
is an existing 4 ft. high masonry and wrought iron fence along the
back of sidewalk in front of 4023 OSt. The wrought iron portion'
of the fence has decorative tips with rounded ends that are
acceptable for use within the right of way. The fence includes an
electric security gate and post for number pad. Based on a field
review and the information provided, I recommend approval of the
application.
