Applicant agrees that if thi~ application is granted, applicant will indemnify,
defend and hold harmless the City of Bakersfield, its agents, officers and
employees against and from all damages, judgments, claims, demands, expenses,
costs and expenditures, and against all loss or liability which the City of
Bakersfield or such officers, agents or employees may suffer, or which may be
recoverable from, or 6btainable against the City,of Bakersfield or s~ch officers,
a~rnts or employees, proximately cau~ed.by, growing out of or in any way
connected with the placing, erection or maintenance of said encroachment, the
applicant further agrees to maintain the aforesaid encroachment dur,ing the life
of the said encroachment or until such time that this permit is rey~~ed.

application is made, if granted, or upon the revocation thereof by the City
Engineer, applicant will at his own cost and expense remove the same from the
public property or right of way where the same is located, and restore said

before the placing, erection, maintenance or exist ce of said encroachment.

SUBJECT: ENCROACHMENT PERMIT APPLICATION-
JOHN ROBISON, 2450 SPRUCE STREET
We have reviewed the subject encroachment permit application. The
applicant is requesting approval for construction of a 6 ft. high -
stucco wall along the back of sidewalk on Lawn St. at the northeast
corner of Spruce St. and Lawn St. The applicant is also requesting
approval for a portion of a parking stall to be within th~ right-
of-way behind the wall. The location of the driveway has been
approved by the Planning Depar~ment as re~uiredby the B.Z.A. It
appears that the proper setbacks for sightline have been
maintained. Based on the information provided and a previous field
review, I recommend approval of the encroachment.
