State of California, being a portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 26, Township 29 South, Range 27 East, M~D.M., more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of said Northwest Quarter of the Southwest
. Quarter of said Section 26"; thence northerly along the west line of said Section,
a distance of 120 feet, more or less, to intersect the north line of the south

APPLICATION FOR ENCROACHMENT PEPJ-HT

TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA:
Pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 904 New
Series of the City of Bakersfield, the und~rsigned hereby applies
for a permit, to place, erect and/or maintain an encroachment on
public property or right-of-way as therein defined.
The name and address of applicant is: Gulf Oil Corporation,
P.O. Box 1392, Bakersfield, CA 93302.
The nature or description of the encroachment for which
this application is made is as follows: An oil well and that area
of the surface necessary for ingress,and egress and all equipment
and facilities utilized in connection with Nickel Fee #1 well.
The location of the proposed,:,encroachment-"_is' described
in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated herein as if
fully set forth.
Applicant desires to maintain the aforesaid encroachment
until production ceases from Nickel Fee #1 well, or until said
well is abandoned.
Applicant agrees that if this application is granted,
applicant will indemnify, save and hold harmless the City of
Bakersfield, its agents, officers and employees ag~inst and from
all damages, judgments, claims, demands, expenses, costs and
expenditures, and against all loss or liability which the City
of Bakersfield or such officers, ageri~s' or' employees may suffer,
or which may be recoverable ,from, or obtainable against the City
of Bakersfield or such, officers, agents or emp16yees, proximately
caused by, growing out of or in any way connected with the placing,
erection or maintenance of said encroachment.
Applicant further agrees that at such time as production
from the Middle Kernco Sand ceases from the well identified as
Nickel Fee'#l w~llori the above~described property, that this
permit t~rminates and applicant will, athii o~n cost ~ndexpense,
remove all property from the public property or right-of-way wherein
