Applicant agrees that if this application is granted, applicant will indemnify,
defend and hold harmless the City of Bakersfield, its agents, officers and
employees against and from all damages, judgments, claims, demands, expenses,
costs and expenditures, and against all "loss or liability which the City of
Bakersfield or ~uch officers, agents or employees may suffer, or which may be
recoverable from, or obtainable agairist the City of Bakersfield or such
<?fficers, agents or employees, proximately caused by , growing out of or in any

V., FENCE RETAINING WALL AT 4501 CASCADE FALLS cr.
I have reviewed the application. The wall and fence appear to meet minimum sight line
requirements. The application is acceptable for traffic concerns.
NOTE:
The proposed wall and fence will block access to a city street light at the comer. I
recommend that General Services review this proposal as they may want the fence
to go behind the street light pole.

Ellgine~ring and Traffic staff have reviewed the attached encroachment permit and recommend it be approved
with the, cbnditiollslisted on the permit. The permit is to allow the installation of 6' high wood fencing at or
near the back of the sidewalk along the side yard of the corner lot, and a 4' high wrought iron fence along
the back of the sidewalk within the front yard set-back area of the lot. There is a street light that this fencing
wmbc~J'equiredto go around as conditioned on the permit, and sight-line requirements will be required to
..~~>ln'aitit~inedatthe corner. Mr. Llarenas contacted several nearby neighbors in the area as shown on the
'attacQedpetition, but many were evidently not at home when he canvassed his neighborhood.
