APPLICATION FOR ENCROACHMENT PERMIT

TO THE CITY ENGINEER OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA:
Pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 3140 New Series of the City of
Bakersfield, the undersigned applies for a permit to place, erect and/or maintain
an encroachment on public property or right of way as therein defined.
The name and address of applicant is:

The nature or description of the encroachment for which this application is made
is as follows: Installation of temporary fencing across Ryzona Drive during the
construction of the High SchooL!

The location of the proposed encroachment is: across Ryzona Drive at Stine Road
(see attached) Encroachment permit shall be void after construction is complete
or within 2 years, whichever occurs first.
Applicant agrees that if this application is granted, applicant will indemnify,
defend and hold harmless the City of Bakersfield, its agents, officers and
employees against and from all damages, judgments, claims, demands, expenses,
costs and expenditures, and against all loss or liability which the City of
Bakersfield or such officers, agents or employees may suffer, or which may be
recoverable from, or obtainable against the City of Bakersfield or such officers,
agents or employees, proximately caused by, growing out of or in any way
connected with the placing, erection or maintenance of said encroachment, the
applicant further agrees to maintain the aforesaid encroachmeqt during the life
of the said encroachment or until such time that this perm4tt 'is revoked.
Applicant further agrees that upon the '-e~piratioQ' at 'th~ permit for which this

ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
Roebbelen Engineering Inc., the General Contractor for construction of Ridgeview
High School, has asked for permission to place a fence across Ryzona Street at
the intersection of Stine Road.
The attached drawing indicates the fence would be located at the end of the curb
return on Ryzona Street. The fence/gates will be the type with feet on posts, and
therefore no holes will be placed in asphalt concrete paving or the concrete
sidewalks.
The fence will remain in place during construction of the school and would be
removed upon completion.
