TO THE CITY ENGINEER OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA:
Pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 3140 New Series of the City of
Bakersfield, the undersigned applies for a permit to place, erect and/or maintain
an encroachment on public property or right of way as therein defined.

Applicant further agrees that upon the expiration of the permit for which this
application is made, if granted, or upon the revocation thereof by the City
Engineer, applicant will at his own cost and expense remove the same from the
public property or right of way where the same is located, and restore s&id
public property or right of way .to the condition as nearly may be in which it was
before the placing, erection, ma~nce.or,~ce of s~id encroachment.

Re: Encroachment Permit No. 1187
Dear Mr. Hardiman:
On January 22, 1993 the City issued an encroachment permit #1187 to install fencing within City right-of-way
adjacent to the property located at the southeast comer of Lakeview Avenue and DeWolf Street. You signed
that permit as a representative of the owner. The owner of the property has since notified the City that you
do not represent him and that you did not have his permission to install fencing on the property.
Additionally, the fencing you have erected does not conform with the type and height of fencing you have
indicated on the permit application, nor does it meet with the City of Bakersfield requirements for "sight
distance" .
As a result, Encroachment Permit No. 1187 is hereby revoked' and you are now notified to remove all
encroachments (fencing) from the right-of-way of 611 Lakeview Avenue by February 11, 1993. Failure to
remove the encroachment is a violation of the City Municipal Code and may result in prosecution by the City.
