We have reviewed the subject encroachment permit application. The applicant is requesting approval for construction of canopies on 19th Street and H Street. The canopies are proposed to encroach 6' and 8' into the right of way of 19th Street and H Street respectively. There are additional minor encroachments of 4 inches into the right of way due to architectural features. Based on the information provided and a field review, I recommend approval of the application with the following condition. 1. Due to the ultimate curb to property line of 9.25 feet on H Street, all U.B.C. requirements shall be adhered to for the proposed canopies.
