such officers, agents or employees may suffer, or which may be recoverable from, or obtainable against

ENCROACHMENT PERMIT
FOR A VALUABLE CONSIDERATION, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged,
the City of Bakersfield, a California ~Iunicipal Corporation, Grantor, hereby
grants to California Water Service Company, a Corporation, Grantee, and
encroachment permit to lay, construct, operate, maintain,
repair, reconstruct, change the size of and remove domestic water supply lines
ard appurtenant and necessary surface and subsurface structures, fittings, and
other equipment, in, under, across, over and upon a 20 foot wide strip of land
in the Southwest Quarter of Section 18, Township 30 South, Range 28 East,
M.D.B. & M., lying within the Pacific Gas and Electric Company easement,
recorded in Book 1511, at Page 48 of Official Records of the County of Kern,
State of California, the centerline of said strip being more particularly
described as follows:'

Beginning at a point on tile south line of said P.G. & E. easement,
said point lying North 820 46' 56" West, as measured along said
south line, a distance of 25.00 feet from the northeast corner
of Tract No. 3495 as recorded in Book 20 of Maps, at Page 133,
in the Office of the County Recorder of Kern County;
THENCE North 070 13' 04" East, a distance of 24.30 feet;
THENCE North 520 13' 04" East, a distance of 174.55 feet;
THENCE North 000 08' 16" West, a distance of 2.29 feet to a point
on the north line of said P. G. & E. easement, said point lying
South 820 46' 56" East as measured along said north line, a
distance of 117.14 feet from the southwest corner of Tract
'No. 3814 as recorded in Book 26 of Maps, at Page 138, in the
Office of the County Recorder of Kern County.
