HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 85-77RESOLUTION NO. ~5-77 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS %rILSON ROAD NO. 3 ," PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the 9th day of September, 1977, requesting that certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and incorporated within the City of Bakersfield; and WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners of not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the area of the land in such territory, and representing not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the assessed value of such territory according to the last-preceding equalized assessment roll of the County of Kern. NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as amended, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows: A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of'California, being a portion of Section 11, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.M. and more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of the NW 1/4 of said Section 11 thence S 89°18'10"E along the south line of said NW 1/4 a distance' of 346.83 feet to a point in the southwesterly extension of the easterly right-of-way line of Stine Road (75' in width); Thence N 30°52'15'' E along said easterly right-of-way line and extensions thereof, a distance of 259.65 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 1 of Tract 2532 as shown on that map recorded May 25, 1961 in Book 11 of Maps at Page 197 in the office of the County Recorder, said point being a point in the existing Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield and also being the True Point of Beginning for this des- cription; Thence (1) S 59o07'45'' E a distance of 108.382 feet; Thence (2) S 0°41'50'' W a distance of 125.00 feet to a point in the north right-of-way line of Wilson Road (90 feet in width); Thence (3) S 89°18'10'' E along said north right-of-way line a distance of 556.95 feet, more or less, to a point in the west line of the east 193 feet of the W 1/2 of this W 1/2 of said Section 11; Thence (4) S 0°41'50" W along said west line a distance of 90 feet to a point in the south right-of-way line of Wilson Road, said point also being a point in the existing Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield; Thence (5) southerly, westerly and northerly along various courses of said Corporate Boundary to the True Point of Beginning; Containing 4.97 acres, more or less. That a designation appropriately naming such territory is 'WILSON ROAD NO. 3." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Wednesday, the 26th day of October, 1977, at the hour of 8 P. M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the place where any person owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation may appear before the Council of the~City of Bakersfield and show cause why such territory should not be annexed.
