ARESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD CONCURRING IN THE PROPOSAL TO
CHANGE THE LEGISLATIVE DESCRIPTION OF
ROUTE 204.
WHEREAS, State Route 58 freeway has been completed between
Union Avenue and State Route 99 in the Bakersfieldarea; and
WHEREAS, said freeway is parallel and adjacent to Brundage
Lane which is State Route 204 within said limits; and
WHEREAS, Brundage Lane serves traffic that is primarily
local in character; and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation pro-
poses a change in the legislative description of Route 204 which
would delete Brundage Lane from the State highway system within said
limits and would allow the processing of the relinquishment of Brundage
Lane to the City of Bakersfield and the County of Kern, according to
their areas of jurisdiction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the Council of the City of Bakersfield concurs
in the proposal to change the legislative description of Route 204.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 24th day of August, 1977, by the following
vote:
