A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ADOPTING AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, an amendment to the Land Use Element of the
Bakersfield Metropolitan Area General Plan ("General Plan"),
consisting of a map, has been prepared and placed on file in the
office of the City Clerk and the Planning Department for inspection
by the public; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Bakers-
find, on July 20, 1977, by its Resolution No. 20-77, approved
said amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan, after
notice and hearing as required by law, and transmitted such amend-
ment to the City Council for further action in accordance with
Article 6, Chapter 3 of Title 7 (commencing with Section 65350)
of the Government Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Sections
65351 and 65355 of the Government Code, due notice of the time
and place of a public hearing before the City Council was given,
to wit, by publishing such notice in the Bakersfield Californian,
a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of
Bakersfield, at least ten (10) days before the hearing; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held and conducted a public
hearing, in every respect in accordance with the published notice
and the law, on August 10, 1977, for the purpose of hearing any
person desiring to be heard on the matter of the adoption of
the said amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield asfollows:
1. That the amendment to the Land Use Element of the
Bakersfield Metropolitan Area General Plan, including that area
known as the Rio Bravo annexation as shown on the map attached
hereto as Exhibit "A", and made a ~part hereof, is hereby approved
and adopted.
2. That the Clerk shall. endorse in writing on said
amendment consisting of said map, to show that it was adopted by
the City Council on August 10, 1977.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 10th day of August, 1977, by the follow-
ing vote:
