A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD APPROVING APPLICATION FOR
MASTER ~LANNING GRANT, NUMBER CA 77062781,
FOR AIRPORT MASTER PLAN, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID APPLICATION.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield desires
to apply for federal assistance to perform a master planning study
under the FAA Planning Grant Program, to determine if the continued
existence of a privately owned airpark would better serve the
Bakersfield area if it were publicly owned; under what type of
organizational arrangement should it operate; study alternative
sites; and determine facility requirements; and
WHEREAS, an application dated August 11, 1977, Number CA
77062781 has been prepared for such. federal assistance and the Council
desires to approve such application and authorize the ~ityManager to
execute-the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the above recited facts are true and correct.
2. That the application, Number CA 77062781, for federal
assistance for project entitled Airport Master Plan, hereinabove more
specifically described, is hereby approved and the City Manager of
the City of Bakersfield is hereby authorized and directed to execute
the same, for and on behalf of the City of Bakersfield.
3. That the staff shall take such further action as may be
required and submit such application to the Federal Aviation Adminis-
tration.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 10th day of August, 1977, by the following
vote:
