HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 61-77RESOLUTION N0. 61-77 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD EXTENDING FILING DATE FOR ANNUAL STATEMENTS OF ECONOMIC INTEREST. WHEREAS, the Conflict of Interest Codes of the agencies of the City of Bakersfield heretofore adopted by all designated agencies and approved by the City Council, require~ that annual statements disclosing reportable investments, interests in real property and income be filed by all designated employees on or before January 31 of each year, covering the period ending 30 days prior to January 31; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the State of California Fair Political Practices Commission that the filing date for annual statements may be extended until March 31, providing a grace period to permit persons to utilize tax-filing information for the purposes of satisfying their disclosure responsibilities under a code; and WHEREAS, in conformance with the determination of the Fair Political Practices Commission, it is the desire of the City Council, the Code Reviewing Body for all designated city agencies, that Section 300 C of each Conflict.of Interest Code adopted by the said agencies and approved by the Council should be amended accordingly. NOW, THEREFORE, BE:-IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. That Section 300 C of each Conflict of Interest Code heretofore adopted by each designated city agency and approved by the City CoUncil is amended to read as follows: 300 C: Annual Statements disclosing reportable invest- ments, interests in real property and income shall be filed by all designated employees on or before March 31 of each year, covering the period ending on December 31. 2. That the City Clerk is directed to include such amend- ment in each Conflict of Interest Code on file in his office and inform each designated employee of such amendment. o0o I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on the 25thday of July , 1977, by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN BARTON, CHRISTENSEN, MEDDERS, RATTY, ROGERS, SCEALES, STRONG NOES: COUNCILMEN: ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: ABSTAINING COUNCILMEN: £ field rs the
