A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION.OF
PORTIONS OF 32d, 33d AND "K'~ STREETS, IN
THE CITY OF BAFZRSFIELDo
WHEREAS, on the 25th day of April, 1977, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State. of California, passed and
adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 919 declaring its intention
to order the vacation of portions of 32d, 33d and "~' Streets, in
the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 23rd day=of May, 1977, after
notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That those portions of 32d, 33d and "~' Streets,
in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California,
more particularly described as follows, is unnecessary for present
or prospective public street purposes:
32d STREET
All that portion of 32d Street in the City of Bakersfield
as shown on the map of the City of Bakersfield recorded
November 25, 1898 in Book 1 of Maps at Pages 13 and 14
in the office of the County Recorder, and more par-
ticularly described as follows:
Parcel 1
A triangular parcel of land bounded on the north by the
south line and its easterly prolongation of Block 619
as shown on said map, bounded on the east by the southerly
prolongation of a line parallel with and distant 11.25'
easterly as measured at right angles to the east line of
said Block 619, and bounded on the southwest by the north-
easterly right-of-way of the Southern Pacific Railroad.
Parcel 2
A strip of land 11.25 feet in width bounded on the north
by the south line and its easterly and westerly prolonga-
tion of Block 621 and the south line of Lot 3, Block 622,
as shown on said map, bounded on the east by the southerly
prolongation of the east line of said Lot 3, bounded on
the south by a line parallel With and distant 11.25 feet
southerly as measured at right angles to the south line
and its easterly and westerly prolongations of said Block
621 and the south ~ne of said Lot 3, and bounded on the
west by the southerly prolongation of a line parallel
with and distant 11.25 feet westerly as measured at right
angles to the west line of said Block 621.
Reserving the south 5 feet of said parcel for purposes
of a public utilities easement.
33d STREET
All that portion of 33d Street in the City of Bakersfield
as shown on the map of the City of Bakersfield recorded
November 25, 1898 in Book 1 of Maps, at Pages 13 and 14
in the office of the County Recorder, and more particularly
described as follows:
Parcel 1
The northerly 11.25 feet of the 82.5 foot right-of-way of
33d Street as shown on said map, lying between the southerly
prolongations of the east line and west line of Lot 20,
Block 620 as shown on said map.
Parcel 2
A strip of land 11.25 feet in width bounded on the north
by the south line and its easterly prolongation of Lot 1,
Block 620 as shown on said map, bounded on the east by
the southerly prolongation of a line parallel with and
distant 11.25 feet easterly as measured at right angles
to the east line of said Lot 1 bounded on the south by
a line parallel with and distant 11.25 feet southerly
as measured at right angles to the south line and its
easterly prolongation of said Lot 1, and bounded on the
west by the southerly prolongation of the west line of
said Lot 1.
Parcel 3
A strip of land 11.25 feet in width bounded on the south
by the north line and its easterly prolongation of Block
619 as shown on said map, bounded on the west by the
northerly prolongation of the west line of said Block
619, bounded on the north by a line parallel with and
distant 11.25 feet northerly as measured at right angles
to the north line and its easterly 'prolongation of said
Block 619, and bounded on the east by the northerly pro-
longation of a line parallel with and distant 11.25 feet
easterly as measured at right angles to the east line of
said Block 619.
Reserving all of said parcel for purposes of a public
utilities easement.
"~' STREET
All that portion of "~' Street in the City of Bakersfield
as shown on the map of the City of Bakersfield recorded
November 25, 1898 in Book 1 of Maps, at Pages 13 and 14
in the office of the County Recorder, and more particularly
described as follows:
Parcel 1
The easterly 11.25 feet and the westerly 11.'25 feet of
the 82.5 foot right-of-way for "K" Street as shown on said
map, lying between the easterly prolongations of the north
line and the south line of Block 620 as shown on said map.
Reserving the north 135 feet of said easterly 11.25 feet
for purposes of a public utilities easement.
Parcel 2
The easterly 11.25 feet and the westerly 11.25 feet of
the 82.5 foot right-of-way for "~' Street as shownon
said map, lying between the easterly prolongation of
the north line and the south line of Block 619 as shown
on said map.
2· That said portions of 32d, 33d and "~' Streets, in
the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby closed up,
vacated and abandoned for public street purposes subject to and in
conformity with said Resolution of Intention No. 919. Reference
to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further
particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at'a regular
meeting thereof held on the 23rd day of May, 1977, by the following
vote:
