A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD CONCERNING TRANSMITTAL OF CITY
STREET DEFICIENCY REPORT TO DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION PURSUANT TO SECTION 2156 OF
THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE.
WHEREAS, Section 2156 of the Streets and Highways Code
requires the City to transmit to the Department of Transportation
on or before May 1, 1977, a report on the progress the City has made
in the construction or improvement of its street system, an estimate
of its street needs for the next five years and a projected estimate
of its street needs for the next ten years; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Bakersfield has
prepared the required report and submitted it to the Bakersfield City
Council for their study and approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Bakersfield has received said report and the City Engineer
is directed to transmit certified copies of this resolution, together
with the maps and the report required by Section 2156 of the Streets
and Highways Code, to the State of California Department of Transpor-
tation.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 2d day of May, 1977, by the following
vote:
