A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ADOPTING A RATE SCHEDULE
PURSUANT TO SECTION 7.66.170 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE, APPLICABLE TO TOWING
SERVICE IN RESPONSE TO POLICE DISPATCH.
WHEREAS, Chapter 7.66 of the Municipal Code prescribes
the basic regulations for the operation of tow trucks in police
emergency situations in the removal of and towing away of motor vehi-
cles which are involved in an accident, which constitute an obstruc-
tion to traffic because of mechanical failure, or which are illegally
parked; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 7.66 of the Municipal Code is intended
to provide a fair and impartial means of distributing police emer-
gency requests for towing services among qualified firms, and to
insure that such service is prompt and reasonably priced and in the
best interests of the public as well as the interest of efficient
policing operations for the removal from public streets of said
vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Section 7.66.170 of said Chapter 7.66 requires
that all charges for towing services by permittees dispatched by
the police in police emergency situations shall be made by such
permittees according to the rate schedule adopted by resolution
of the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Bakersfield
hereby resolves and ~.~pts-. the following rate schedule which shall
be applicable to all permittees under Chapter 7.66 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield:

Pursuant to Resolution No. ~3'??adopted by the Council
of the City of Bakersfield on the 28th day of March , 1977,
in accordance with Chapter 7.66 of the Municipal Code, and applicable
to towing service permittees in the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 21st day of March , 1977, by the
