A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ADOPTING CONFLICT OF INTEREST
CODES FOR 21 AGENCIES OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, every city agency is required by the Political
Reform Act of 1974 to have a Conflict of Interest Code which, when
adopted by the City Council, shall have the force of law; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 79-76, adopted on October 25,
1976, the City Council (as the Code Reviewing Body), designated
the following agencies of the City, requiring each to formulate
and submit Conflict of Interest Codes to the Council no later than
January 3, 1977:

WHEREAS, each of the above 21 agencies has complied.
Pursuant to the order of this Council, each has listed the positions
which involve the making or participation in the making of decisions
which may forseeably have a material effect on financial interests.
Each such agency assigned each designated position to one or'more
disclosure categories, differentiating the designated positions on
the basis of their different powers and duties; and
WHEREAS, each agency held a public hearing before sub-
mitting its Code to the Council on January 3, 1977, in accordance
with law; and
WHEREAS the Governmental Efficiency and Personnel Com-
mittee of the Council reviewed the said Conflict of Interest
Codes on March 22, 1977, and recommends their adoption by the
City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. The Conflict of Interest Code of each of the above
21 agencies of the City of Bakersfield, on file in the City Clerk's
Office, is hereby approved and adopted.
2. Within thirty (30) days after the date of this reso-
lution, all the officers and employees holding the positions desig-
nated in Exhibit "A" of each Code shall file their initial Statement
of Economic Interest.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to furnish to each
person who is required to file Statements, the following:
(a) Instruction Manual for Statement of Economic
Intere s t s ."
(b) Three (3) copies of form of Statement of Econo-
mic Interests for Designated Employees.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of March,
1977, by the following vote:
