HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 102-76RESOLUTION NO. 102-76 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE BAKERSFIELD METROPOLITAN AREA GENERAL PLAN. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Bakersfield, held and conducted a public hearing pursuant to the provisions of Section 65351 of the Government Code on November 17, 1976, on the proposed amendment to the Land Use Element of the Bakersfield MetrOp0iitan Area General Plan covering that certain property known as the-southeast corner of 24th Street and Oak Street, bounded by the Carrier Canal on the east side and 21st Street on the south side, which proposed amendment would change the land use of such property from low-density residential to office use; and WHEREAS, following said public hearing, the Planning Commission approved said amendment on November 17, 1976, by Resolu- tion No. 15-76 and upon approval thereof, duly transmitted such proposed amendment to the City Council of Bakersfield; and WHEREAS, the said City Council duly gave notice of the time and place of public hearing as provided in Sections 65351 and 65355 of the Government Code and held and conducted said public hearing on said proposed amendment on December 20, 1976. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. That the Land Use Element of the Bakersfield Metro- politan Area General Plan is hereby amended by changing the Land Use Plan in the manner shown on the diagram attached hereto as Exhibit '~" and made a part hereof, to wit: by changing the terri- tory commonly known as the southeast corner of 24th Street and Oak Street, bounded by the Carrier Canal on the east side and 21st Street on the south side, from low-density residential to office use. 2. That the Planning Director is directed to change the Land Use Plan in accordance with said Exhibit "A" to show the change effective as of December 20, 1976. 3. That the said amendment to the Land Use Element will not have a significant effect on the environment. 4. That the Clerk of this Council shall endorse in writ- ing on said amendment (Exhibit "A") to show that it was adopted by the City Council on December 20, 1976. 5.
