A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT
OF THE BAKERSFIELD METROPOLITAN AREA GENERAL
PlAN.
WHEREAS, the City Council, under the provisions of Section
65356.1 of the Government Code referred the Proposed Amendment To
Land Use Element For Area Bounded By White Lane, Stine Road, Pacheco
Road, and Wible Road to the Planning Commission for a report; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held and conducted a
public hearing on December 1, 1976, and notice of the time and place
of such hearing was duly given in the time and manner specified in
Section 65351 of the Government Code and the Planning Commission's
report was completed and transmitted to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held and conducted a public
hearing in accordance with the provisions of Sections 65351 and
65355 of the Government Code, on December 13, 1976; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the public
interest to change and amend the Land Use Element of the said General
Plan by changing the map of the Land Use Plan as shown by the map
attached hereto.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the Land Use Element of the Bakersfield Metro-
politan Area General Plan is hereby amended by changing the Land
Use Plan in the manner shown on the diagram attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof, to wit: by changing the 75+
acres shown thereon from _industrial use to_ low-density residential.
2. That the Planning Director is directed to change the
Land Use Plan in accordance with said Exhibit "A,' to show the change
effective as of December +13, 1976.
3. That the said amendment to the Land Use Element will
not have a significant effect on the environment.
4. That the Clerk of this Council shall endorse in
writing on said amendment (Exhibit "A") to show that it was adopted
by the City Council on December 13, 1976.
6. That the Clerk of this Council shall forthwith trans-
mit copies of this Resolution to the Planning Commission of Kern
County and the Kern County Local Agency Formation Commission.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 13th day of December, 1976, by the
following vote:
