RESOLUTION NO. 92-76
RESOLUTION OF.THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA,
DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL
ELECTION HELD IN SAID DISTRICT ON
NOVEMBER 2, 1976
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA,
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the City Council does hereby find,
determine, and declare as follows:
That pursuant to applicable law, a special

election was held and conducted in said City on. the 2nd
day of November, 1976; and
b. That said election was held and conducted in
conformity with all applicable provisions of law; and
c. That said special election was held for the
purpose of submitting to the voters of said City the
following bond proposition, to-wit:
Shall the City of Bakersfield incur a bonded
indebtedness in the principal sum of $15,500,000
for the acquisition of all Kern River water, water
rights, waterworks and water facilities of Tenneco
West, Inc., Kern Island Water Company and Kern
River Canal and Irrigating Company described in
the Acquisition Agreement entered into by the City
as of April 12, 1976, and all expenses incidental
to or connected with the authorization, issuance
and sale of the bonds?
d. That pursuant to direction of the City Council,
the County Clerk of the County of Kern has heretofore con-
ducted a canvass of the results thereof and has filed with
said City Council a certificate relating thereto which has
been examined and is hereby accepted by this City Council.
SECTION 2. That the Statement of Election Results
relating to said special election is attached hereto as
Exhibit "A", and by this reference incorporated herein.

SECTION 3. That the City Council does hereby accept the
canvass of record of said special election as certified by said
County Clerk and does hereby declare that the vote of more than
two-thirds of all t.he voters voting at said election upon the
bond proposition were cast in favor of the adoption of said
bond proposition and said bond proposition'ishereby declared
to be carried and this City Council is authorized to issue
bonds for the purpose stated therein as provided by law.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
enter this resolutionin full in the minutes of this City
Council, which entry shall constitute the. City Clerk's state-
ment of the result of the election.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify the
adoption of this resolution.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 29th day of November
1976.
