HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 75-76RESOLUTION NO. 75-76 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS BY PERSONS OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "STOCKDALE NO. 9," PROPOSED TO'BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the 6th day of October, 1976,,requesting that certain uninhabited territory therein described be annexed to and incorporated within the City of'Bakersfield; and WHEREAS, said petition was signed by the owners of not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the area of the land in such territory, and representing not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the assessed value of such territory according to the last-preceding equalized assessment roll of the Count~ of Kern. NOW, THEREFORE, in compliance with the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, Chapter 297, as amended, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California, and being a portion of Section 33, Township 20 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.& M., more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of said Section 33; thence northerly along the east line of said Section 33, 85.00 feet, to the north right-of-way of Stockdale Highway, being the true point of beginning for this description; Thence (1) N 89°43' W, parallel to the south line of said section 33 and along said north right-of-way line, 678.71 feet;. Thence (2) N 10° 17 ' E, 219.03 feet; Thence (3) N 24o40, E, 196.35 feet; Thence (4) N 28°36' E, 203.90 feet, to a point on the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield; Thence ~ 89°50' E, 459.57 feet, to a point on east line of said Section 33; Thence (6) departing from said Corporate Boundary, southerly, along the last-named east line, 575 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning; Containing 7.83 acres, more or less. That a designation appropriately naming such territory is "Stockdale No. 9." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Monday, the 29th day of November, 1976, at the hour of 8 P. M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the place where any person owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation may appear before the Council of the City of Bakersfield and show cause why such territory should not be annexed. o00 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular meeting thereof held on the llth day of October, 1976, by the follow- ing vote: AYF, S: COUNCILMEN BARTON BLEECKER, CHRISTENSEN, MEDDERS, ROGER,S, SCEALES, STRONG NOES: COU~.!C.
