HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 67-76RESOLUTION NO. 67-76 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD REGARDING ITS INTENT TO DELETE AREA FROM THE DOWNTOWN BAKERSFIELD REDEVELOP- MENT PROJECT AREA UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES. WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council that the area added to the Downtown Bakersfield Redevelopment Project area by Ordinance No. 2291, New Series, be deleted from that Project area if major development is not assured by October 1, 1977. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: 1. If by October 1, 1977: (a) An application has not been filed for a building permit showing an estimated cost of construction of a substantial portion of the hotel-office complex for which the area was added to the project by Ordinance No. 2291, New Series; and (b) The fees have not been filed for such application for such building permit; in that event the Redevelopment Agency is hereby directed to initiate the appropriate procedures to delete such added area from the Project area and to take such steps and prepare such documents as are neces- sary and appropriate to present to the City Council and the Redevelop- ment Agency for their consideration in a public hearing the deletion of such area from the Project area. 2. If such application for permit is filed and such fees are paid within such time then this resolution shall be of no force or effect. 3.
