ARESOLUTiON OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD FIXING ANNUAL FEE FOR LICENSE
TO CONDUCT BINGO GAMES.
WHEREAS, on July 12, 1976, this Council adopted Ordinance
No. 2284 which added Chapter 7.12 to the Municipal Code allowing
bingo games in the City; and
WHEREAS, such chapter provides for the fixing of the annual
license fee by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Section 326.5 of the Penal Code permits a city to
impose a license fee, not to exceed the actual cost of issuing such
license, on each nonprofit, charitable organization which it authori-
zes to conduct bingo games; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has estimated that an annual
license of $'50 would not exceed the actual cost of issuing such
license and has recommended such sumbe fixed by the Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. That a fee of $50 is hereby fixed for a license to
conduct bingo games in the City of Bakersfield under Chapter 7.12
of the Municipal Code and such sum Shall accompany all original appli-
cations for the license.
2. That a fee of $50 is hereby fixed for an annual renewal
of a license to conduct bingo games in the City of Bakersfield under
Chapter 7.12 of the Municipal Code and such sum shall accompany all
applications for renewal of license.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 9th day of August, 1976, by the follow-
ing vote:
