A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING ITS APPLICATION FOR
FUNDS UNDER THE STATE BEACH, PARK, RECREA-
TIONAL AND HISTORICAL FACILITIES BOND ACT
OF 1974.
WHEREAS, the City has heretofore filed an application
for funds under the State Beach, Park, Recreational and Historical
Facilities Bond Act of 1974, which Act provides funds to the State
of California and its political subdivisions for acquiring lands
and for developing facilities for public outdoor recreation and
historical purposes; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation
has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of
the program within the State, setting up necessary procedures gov-
erning application by local agencies under the program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield desires to amend its
application by deleting improvements at Akers Road Park and by
reducing the amount requested for Kroll Way Park from $110,000 to
$53,500; and
WHEREAS, the procedures established by the State Depart-
ment of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by
resolution any changes or amendments to the original application
for grant funds under the Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and CERTIFIED by the
Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the Council of the City of Bakersfield hereby
amends its'application for funds under the State Beach, Park,
Recreational and Historical Facilities Bond Act of 1974 by:
(a) Deleting improvements at Akers Road Park in the
amount of $30,000.00.
(b) Reducing the amount requested for Kroll Way Park
from $110,000.00 to $53,500.00.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 9th day of August, 1976, by the follow-
ing vote:
