RESOLUTION NO. 54-76
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, KERN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA,
REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
THE COUNTY OF KERN TO PERMIT THE COUNTY
CLERK OF SAID COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED
SERVICES TO THE CITY RELATING TO THE CONDUCT
OF A GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND ELECTION TO BE
HELD IN SAID CITY ON NOVEMBER 2, 1976.
WHEREAS, a general obligation bond election is to be
held in the City of Bakersfield on November 2, 1976; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council that the
County Clerk render specified services to the City relating
to said election; and
WHEREAS, all necessary expenses in performing this
service shall be paid by the City of Bakersfield;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Bakersfield
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of
Section 22003 of the Elections Code of the State of California,
this City Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Kern to permit the County Clerk to undertake
all matters in regard to the conduct of the election to be
held in said City on November 2, 1976, including but not
limited to, the furnishing of the voters lists, the imprint-
ing of the names and addresses of the voters of said City
on I.B.M. envelopes, inserting the documents to be mailed
into envelopes, and mailing the envelopes.
SECTION 2. The City shall reimburse said County
of Kern for services performed when the work is completed
and upon presentation to the City Council of a properly
approved bill.

SECTION 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed
to forward without delay to said Board of Supervisors of the
County of Kern, and to the County Clerk of said County, a
certified copy of this Resolution.
