A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD APPROVING AND ADOPTING
THE OPERATING BUDGET AND THE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
1976 -1977.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Charter of the City of
Bakersfield and applicable ordinances, the City Manager and the
Finance Director have heretofore presented to the City Council a
proposed Operating Budget (consisting of operating materials and
charges, capital outlay or fixed assets and equipment replac'~ment
costs) and Capital Improvement Budget, for the fiscal year 19'76-
1977; and
WHEREAS, public hearings were held in the Council Chambers
of the City of Bakersfield on the proposed Operating and Capital
Improvement Budgets for the fiscal year 1976-1977; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has now considered the said
proposed budgets as so submitted and all evidence at said public
hearing, with reference thereto, and has now made all changes and
amendments thereto which said Council, up to this time,. desires to
make therein; and
WHEREAS, the original of said proposed budgets have now
been revised so as to reflect each and all of the amendments, changes,
and modifications which the said Council, up to this time, believes
should be made in said proposed budgets as so submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Bakersfield does
hereby resolve and order as follows:
SECTION 1.
That the original of the said proposed Operating Budget
and Capital Improvement Budget for the City of Bakersfield, California,
for the fiscal year 1976-1977, as so submitted, amended, modified
and corrected and which as so submitted, amended, modified and
corrected, is now before this Council, be placed on file in the
office of the City Clerk of the City, open to public inspection,
and that as so on file the same be and are hereby referred to and
by this reference expressly incorporated herein and made a part
hereof.
SECTION 2.
That the Council of the City of Bakersfield does hereby
approve and adopt the said proposed Operating and Capital Improvement
Budgets of the City of Bakersfield, California, for the fiscal year
1976-1977, as so amended, modified and corrected.
SECTION 3.
That the said budgets for the fiscal year 1976-1977 so sub-
mitted, amended, modified, corrected and filed, shall be the Operating
Budget and Capital Improvement Budget for the City of Bakersfield,
California, for the fiscal year 1976-1977, as contemplated to be
made by this Council under the requirements of Section 53 of the
Charter of said City.
SECTION 4.
That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and henceforth and hereafter, the same shall be in full
~orce and effect.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a special
meeting thereof held on the 15th day of June, 1976, by the following
vote:
