A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, EXTENDING
TIME WITHIN WHICH AFFECTED UTILITIES MUST
REMOVE OVERHEAD WIRES AND FACILITIES AND
INSTALL UNDERGROUND WIRES AND FACILITIES IN
UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 4.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 59-75 of the Council of the City
of Bakersfield established the date of July 1, 1976, as the date
by which affected utilities must remove all poles, overhead wires
and associated overhead structures and install underground wires
and facilities for supplying electri~ communication, cable televi-
sion, or similar or associated service within Underground Utility
District No. 4; and
WHEREAS, upon application, and for good cause shown and
as a matter of public interest, the Council desires to extend such
time limitation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the time limitation of July 1, 1976, within which
the affected utilities are ordered to remove all poles, overhead
wires and associated overhead structure~ and to install underground,
the wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication,
cable television and similar or associated service within Under-
ground Utility District No. ~% is hereby changed to August 2, 1976.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to notify all
affected utilities within Underground Utility District No. 4 of the
adoption of this amendatory resolution within ten (10) days after
the date of adoption thereof. Such notification shall be made by
mailfng a copy 03 this reSolutio~ to ~1~ affecte~ utilities.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 24th day of May, 1976, by the following
vote:
