A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF
THE ALLEY LYING BETWEEN VACATED SACRAMENTO
STREET AND SONORA STREET, CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of January, 1976, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Street Vacation Act of 1941,"' being Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and
adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 911, declaring its inten~
tion to order the vacation of the alley lying between vacated
Sacramento Street and Sonora Street, situate in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix. a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 1st day of March, 1976, after
notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That the alley lying between vacated Sacramento Street
and Sonora Street, situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California, more particularly described as follows,
is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes:
That portion of the alley in Blocks 113 and 114,
City of Bakersfield, being 20 feet in width,
lying between the west line of Lot 1, Block
114, and the east line of Lot 1, Block 113,
including that portion lying within Sacramento
Street between said Blocksll3 and 114; said
alley, lots and blocks being as shown on the
map of Kern, Kern County, California, recorded
in the office of the County Recorder of said
county in Book 1 of Maps, page 53, on April 10,
1893
Reserving all that portion of said alley for
public utilities purposes.
2. That said alley lying between vacated Sacramento
Street and Sonora Street, be and the same is hereby closed up,
vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, subject to and
in conformity with the reservations and exceptions contained in
and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention No. 911. Refer-
ence to said Resolution of Intention if hereby made for further
particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 1st day of March, 1976, by the following
vote:
