A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO INCLUDE WITHIN
THE GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE
DISTRICT A PORTION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY DES-
IGNATED AS "PANORAMA NO. 3," AND SETTING THE
TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO THE
INCLUSION OF SAID TERRITORY WITHIN SAID DIS-
TRICT.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been commenced for the
annexation of certain unincorporated territory, designated as
"Panorama No. 3," to the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, said territory lies outside the Greater
BakersfieldSeparation of Grade District; and
WHEREAS, Section 8290 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California provides that the unincorporated
territory of a county which was not included within a separation
of grade district at the time of the formation of such district,
and which subsequent to the formation of such district is annexed
to or otherwise included within a city which is a part of such
district, shall immediately upon such annexation to such city be
included within the district and shall thereafter become a part
of the district to the same extent as such city; except such portion
or portions thereof which the City Council has determined will not
be benefited by inclusion in the district.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That a description of the unincorpo~ated territory
described in the annexation proceedings is as follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California,
being a portion of Section 14, Township 29 South, Range 28 East,
M.D,M., more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the north 1/4 corner of said Section 14, said 1/4
corner being in the-Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (1) bearing N 89°43'39"E a distance of 1321.73' along the
north line of said Section to the northeast corner of the west 1/2
of the northeast 1/4 of said Section 14 as per Record of Survey
Map of Section 14, T.29 S., R.28 E., M.D.B.&M. Kern County,
California, as filed on April 13, 1961, in Book 8 of Record of
Surveys, at page 57, in the Office of the County Recorder of the
County of Kern;
Thence (2) S 00°01'07"E along the east line of the said west 1/2,
2651.539' to the southeast corner of said west 1/2;
Thence (3) continuing along the east line of the W 1/2 of the
southeast 1/4 of said Section bearing S 00°00'37"E a distance of
939.598' to point "D" as shown on the Record of Survey Map of a
portion of the southeast 1/4 of Section 14 and the southwest 1/4
of Section 13, T.~29 S., R.28 E., M.D.M., County of Kern, as filed
October 20, 1966, in Book 9 of Record of Surveys, at page 91, in
the office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, said point
being on the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (4) westerly and northerly and along the various courses of
said Corporate Boundary to the point of beginning.
Containing 158.71 acres, more or less.
2. That unless any portion shall be excluded by the
City Council, all portions of said unincorporated territory shall,
upon annexation to the City of Bakersfield, be included within the
Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District.
3. That Monday, the 1st day of March, 1976, at the hour
of 8 P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun
Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the place
where objections to inclusion within the district will be heard.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19th day of January,
1976, by the following vote:
