A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF
THE PEDESTRIAN WALKWAY BETWEEN SHATTUCK
AND TELEGRAPH AVENUES, IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 6th day of October, 1975, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted
its Resolution of Intention No. 910, declaring its intention to
order the vacation of the pedestrian walkway between Shattuck and
Telegraph Avenues, in the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vaca-
tion, which said hearing was held on the 27th day of October, 1975,
after notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That the'~edestrian walkway between Shattuck and
Telegraph Avenues, in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern,
State of California, more particularly described as follows, is
unnecessary for present or prospective p.e~stri~-~walkway purposes:
All that portion of a "Pedestrian Walkway" easement
between Shattuck Avenue and Telegraph Avenue, situate
in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
California, and more particularly described as
follows:
PARCEL NO; 1
A parcel of land, 10 feet in width, located between
Lots 9 and 10, Tract No. 1708, as said Tract is
shown on a map, recorded July 28,'1954, in Book
8 of Maps, Page 143, in the office of the County
Recorder for said Kern County;
PARCEL NO. 2
A parcel of land, 10 feet in width, located between
Lots 24 and 25 of said Tract No. 1708.
2. That said pedestrian walkWay between Shattuck and
Telegraph Avenues, in the City of Bakersfield, be and the same
is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for pedestrian walkway
purposes subject to and in conformity with said Resolution of
Intention No. 910. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is
hereby made for further particulars.
3. That the notices given and the hearing conducted
also meet the requirements of the Public Service Easements Vaca-
tion Law being Article 5, Division 1 of Title 5 of the Government
Code of the State of California.
4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City to be recorded in the office
of the Cgunty Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 27th day of October, 1975, by the
following vote:
