A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD TO INCLUDE ANTIQUE SHOPS IN LIST
OF USES PERMITTED SUBJECT TO CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT IN THE C-1 ZONE.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Bakersfield,
at its regular meeting on September 17, 1975, adopted a resolution
pursuant to Section 17.52.040 of the Municipal Code, finding that
an Antique Shop is similar to some of the uses listed as Uses
Permitted Subject to Conditional Use Permit in the C-1 Zone and
determined that such Antique Shop, as conditioned,- is not more
obnoxious or detrimental to the welfare of the community than the
uses specifically permitted subject to a conditional use permit;
and
WHEREAS, this Council has considered said matter and now
finds that the inclusion of said use, as conditioned, in the C-1
Zone as a Use Permitted Subject to Conditional Use Permit will not
be more obnoxious or detrimental to the welfare of the community
than the uses specifically permitted subject to a conditional use
permit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the above recitals are true and correct.
2. That upon the basis of the above determinations and
the determinations made by the Planning Commission, upon the
authority of Section 17.52.040 of the Municipal Code, the follow-
ing use, as conditioned, shall be considered as a Use Permitted
Subject to Conditional Use Permit in the C-1 (Neighborhood
Co,fm~ercial) Zone in the City of Bakersfield:
Antique Shop--Sale of antique household furniture,
antique bric-a-brac, curios and objets-d'art,
wholly within a building. Sale of second-hand
furniture, wares or merchandise is prohibited.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 22d day of September, 1975, by the
following vote:
