ARESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF
A PORTION OF 16TH STREET (ADJACENT TO
CITY HALL) IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the llth day of August, 1975, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and
adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 907, declaring its intention
to order the vacation of a portion of 16th Street (adjacent to City
Hall) in the City of Bakersfield; and :
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 8th day of September, 1975, after
notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That that portion of 16th Street (adjacent to City Hall)
situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
California, more particularly described as follows, is unnecessary
for present or prospective public street purposes:
All that portion of 16th Street, of 82.5 feet in
width, lying between the extended east and west
lines of Block 314, as said Street and Block are
shown on that Map of Bakersfield, Kern County,
California, recorded in the Office of the County
Recorder of said Kern County in Book 1 of Maps,
Page 13, dated November 25, 1898.
2. That said portion of 16t'h Street (adjacent to City
Hall) in the City of Bakersfield be and the same is hereby closed
up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes subject to
and in conformity with said Resolution of Intention No. 907.
Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for
further ~articulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City to be recorded in the office
of the County' Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 8th day of September, 1975, by the
following vote:
