A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF
PUBLIC UTILITIES EASEMENTS IN THE FORMER
ALLEY IN BLOCK 144 AND THE FORMER PORTION
OF EUREKA STREET.
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of December, 1974, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Public
Service Easements Vacation Law," being Sections 50430 to 50445,
inclusive, of the Government Code of the State of California, passed
and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 903, declaring its
intention to order the vacation of public service easements, also
referred to herein as public utilities easements, situated in the
City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, and being
in the former alley in Block 144 and the former portion of Eureka
Street, City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California;
and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 6th day of January, 1975, after
.notices were duly published and posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council, after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That said public service easements also referred to
herein as public utilities easements, hereinafter described, are
unnecessary for present or prospective public use:
A portion of Block 144 and a portion of Eureka
Street of the former Town of Kern, now within
the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, also being in Section 29, Township
29 South, Range-28 East, Mount Diablo Meridian
is more particularly described as follows:
All of that alley within said Block 144 and all
of Eureka Street between the east right-of-way
line of Sonora Street and the west right-of-way
line of Inyo Street, as abandoned on the 15th
day of April, 1946, by resolution of the Council
of the City of Bakersfield.
Excepting and reserving the northerly 5.00 feet
of the westerly 40.00 feet of said alley for
public utility easement purposes.
2. That said public service easements be and the same
are hereby vacated and abandoned for public service easement purposes,
subject to and in conformity with the reservation of the easements
contained in and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention No.
903. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for
further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution, and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of Kern County, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 6th day of January, 1975, by the follow-
ing vote:
