A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF THE
ALLEY IN BLOCK 148 ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
23d STREET, CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of December, 1974, the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the
"Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and
adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 902, declaring its inten-
tion to order the vacation of the alley in Block 148 on the north
side of 23d Street, situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 6th day of January, 1975, after
notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That the alley in Block 148 on the north side of 23d
Street, situate in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, more particularly described as follows, is unneces-
sary for present or prospective public street purposes:
A parcel of land situate in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, being a portion
of the northwest 1/4 of Section 30, Township 29
South, Range 28 East, M.D.B.& M. and more particularly
described as follows:
All of the alley, 20 feet in width, in Block 148
between the north right-of-way line of 23d Street
and the south right-of-way line of State Road
06-Ker-178 as shown on a map recorded October 28,
1966, in Stat~ HighWay Map Bd~k 3, Page 6 in the
Office of the County Recorder of said Kern County.
Excepting and reserving all of said alley for public
utility easement purposes.
2. That said alley in Block 148 on the north side of
23d Street, be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and
abandoned for public street purposes, subject to and in conformity
with the reservations and exceptions contained in and contemplated
by said Resolution of Intention No. 902. Reference to said Resolu-
tion of Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 6th day of January, 1975, by the follow-
ing vote:
