A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, EXTENDING
TIME BY ONE MONTH WITHIN WHICH AFFECTED PRO-
PERTY OWNERS MUST BE READY TO RECEIVE UNDER-
GROUND SERVICE AND WITHIN WHICH AFFECTED
UTILITIES MUST UNDERGROUND FACILITIES IN
DIVISION 3 OF UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT
NO. 2.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 33-73 of the Council of the
City of Bakersfield established the date of December 31, 1974
for Division 3 of Underground Utility District No. 2 (City Hall
area) as the date on which affected property owners must be ready
to receive underground service and ordered removal of overhead
facilities and undergrounding by the utilities no later than
January 31, 1975; and
WHEREAS, for good cause shown and as a matter of public
interest, the Council desires to extend such time limitations by
one month.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED~by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the times set forth in Resolution No. 33-73
as it applies to Division 3 of Underground Utility District No. 2
are revised to read as follows:
That the Council does hereby fix January 31, 1975, for
Division 3 (City Hall area) as the date on which affected property
owners must be ready to receive underground service, and does
hereby order the removal of all pole% overhead wires and asso-
ciated overhead structures and the underground installation of
wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication,
cable television or similar or associated service within Divi-
sion 3 of Underground Utility District No. 2 no later than
February 28, 1975.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to notify
all affected utilities and all persons owning real property within
Division 3 of Underground Utility District No. 2 of the adoption
of this Amendatory Resolution within ten (10) days after the date
of such adoption. Said City Clerk shall by such resolution,
notify said property owners of the necessity that, if they or
any person occupying such property desire to continue to receive
electric, communication, cable television or other similar or
associated service, they or such occupant shall, by the date
fixed in this resolution, provide all necessary facility changes
on their premises so as to receive such service from the lines
of the supplying utility or utilities at a new location, subject
to applicable rules, regulations and tariffs of the respective
utility or utilities on file with the Public Utilities Commission
of the State of California. Such notification shall be made by
mailing a copy of this resolution to all affected property owners
as such are shown on the last equalized assessment roll and to
all the affected utilities.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 9th day of December, 1974,
by the following vote:
