A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA~ AWARDING
THE' CONTRACT FOR DOING THE WORK IN 'PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N0. 896," PURSUANT TO A
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION ADOPTED BY SAID CITY
COUNCIL ON THE 23rd DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1974.
WHEREAS, the City Clerk under the direction of the City
Council, did in open session on the 3rd day of December, 1974,
publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids,
for doing the following work in said City, to wit:
and
The construction of sanitary sewer lines, together
with appurtenant lampholes, manholes, wye branches
and house laterals and all necessary earthwork and
paving repair along Kennedy Avenue east of Akers.
Road, Colleen Street between Kennedy Avenue and the
north boundary of Tract 3185 and Colleen Court~
WHEREAS, all of said bids having been duly considered
by said City Council, and it appearing to said City Council that
the lowest regular responsible bidder for doing the said work is
COLECREST EQUIPMENT COMPANY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, that said City Council does hereby reject
all of said proposals or bids except as herein mentioned and does
hereby award the contract for the doing of said work and said
improvements to the lowest regular responsible bidder, to ~it:
COLECREST EQUIPMENT COMPANY, at the prices and under the condi-
tions named in the bid of said bidder, on file in the office of
the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, conditioned upon the
execution of a contract pursuant to the conditions set forth
within Chapter 9 of the Streets and Highways'Code of the State
of California beginning with Section 5240.
That the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield is
hereby directed to publish notice of award of contract twice in
the Bakersfield Californian, a daily newspaper printed, published
and of general circulation in the City of Bakersfield, California,
hereby designated for that purpose; and
That the City Clerk is further directed upon payment of
the statutory fees prescribed therefor, to record a notice of the
award of contract in the office of the County Recorder, all in
the manner and form provided by law.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 9th day of December, 1974,
by the following vote:
