RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF
FINANCE AND THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, RELA-
TING .TO PREPARATION OF A POPULATION ESTI-
MATE.
WHEREAS, it is provided in Streets and Highways Code,
Section 2107.2, that a City may apply to the State Department of
Finance to enumerate its population and that such department may
do so if available information exists; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous to enter into an agreement
with the State Department of Finance for such special census.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Council of
the City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That the Mayor of the City of Bakersfield is authorized
and directed to execute on behalf of said City of Bakersfield an
agreement between the Department of Finance of the State of California
and the City of Bakersfield, relating to preparation of a population
estimate for the City of Bakersfield by the said Department of Finance.
2. That upon execution of said agreement, the City Clerk is
directed to immediately return to the Department of Finance, the ori-
ginal and two copies of such executed agreement, together with a
certified copy of this enabling resolution, at the following address:

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 9th day of September, 1974, by the fol-
lowing vote:
