A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF
THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 315 AND A PORTION OF
16TH STREET, CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 24th day of June, 1974, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted its
Resolution of Intention No. 898, declaring its intention to order
the vacation of the alley in Block 315 and a portion of 16th Street,
City of Bakersfield, California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 22nd day of July, 1974, after
notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That the alley in Block 315 and a portion of 16th Street
adjacent to Block 315, situate in the City of Bakersfield, County
of Kern, State of California, more particularly described as follows,
are unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes:
Those portions of the City of Bakersfield that are
shown on that Map of Bakersfield, Kern County,
California recorded in the Office of the County
Recorder of the County of Kern in Book 1 of Maps,
Page 13, dated November 25, 1898, more particularly
described as follows:
PARCEL 1
That portion of the alley, being 33 feet in width,
lying between Lots 1 and 2, and Lots 7 and 8 of
Block 315 as shown on the aforesaid map.
PARCEL 2
The northerly 16.5 feet of 16th Street that is
adjacent to and bounded on the north by Block 315
as shown on the aforesaid map.
2. That the alley in Block 315 and a portion of 16th
Street adjacent to Block 315 be, and the same are, hereby closed
up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes subject to
and in conformity with said Resolution of Intention No. 898.
Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for
further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City to be recorded in the Office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 22nd day of July, 1974, by the following
vote:
