A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, APPROVING AND ADOPT-
ING THE BUDGET, EXCEPT FOR EMPLOYEES'
SALARIES AND BENEFITS, FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 1974-75.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Charter of the City of
Bakersfield and applicable ordinances, the City Manager and the
Finance Director of the City of Bakersfield have heretofore pre-
sented to the City Council of said City a proposed budget, except
for employee salaries and benefits, for the fiscal year 1974-75;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council did modify, correct, amend, and
change said proposed budget, except for employee salaries and
benefits, for the fiscal year 1974-75; and
WHEREAS, public hearings were held in the Council Chambers
of the City of Bakersfield on the proposed budget, except for
employee salaries and benefits, for the fiscal year 1974-75; and
WHEREAS, said City Council has now considered the said
proposed budget, except for employee salaries and benefits, as so
submitted and all evidence at said public hearing, with reference
thereto, and has now made all changes and amendments thereto which
said City Council up to this time desires to make therein; and
WHEREAS, the original of said proposed budget, except
for employee salaries and benefits, has now been revised so as to
reflect each and all of the amendments, changes, and modifications
which the said City Council up to the time of the adoption of this
resolution believes should be made in said proposed budget as so
submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the original of the said proposed budget, except
for employee salaries and benefits, for the City of Bakersfield,
California, for the fiscal year 1974-75 as so submitted, amended,
modified, and corrected and which, as so submitted, amended,
modified, and corrected is now before this Council, be placed on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield,
California, open to public inspection, and that as so on file the
same be and it is hereby referred to and by this reference expressly
incorporated herein and made a part hereof.
2. That said City Council of the City of Bakersfield,
California, does hereby approve and adopt the said proposed budget,
except for employee salaries and benefits, of the City of Bakersfield,
California, for the fiscal year 1974-75 as so amended, modified, and
corrected.
3. That the said budget, except for employee salaries
and benefits, for said fiscal year 1974-75 so submitted, amended,
modified, corrected, and filed shall be the budget, except for
employee salaries and benefits, for the City of Bakersfield,
California, for said fiscal year 1974-75 as contemplated to be
made by this Council under the requirements of Section 53 of the
Charter of said City.
4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and henceforth and hereafter, the same shall be in
full force and effect.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a budget
meeting thereof held on the 19th day of June, 1974, by the follow-
ing vote:
