A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
PUBLIC UTILITIES EASEMENT ON LINE BETWEEN
LOTS 7, 8, AND 55 OF TRACT 1001, CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 5th day of October, 1970, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Public
Service Easements Vacation Law", being Sections 50430 to 50445,
inclusive, of the Government Code of the State of California, passed
and adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 860, declaring its
intention to order the vacation of a public service easement, also
referred to herein as a public utilities easement, situated in the
City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, and being
on-tin~LThetw~en Lots 7, 8, and 55 of Tract 1001, City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on the 19th day of October, 1970, after
notices were duly published and posted as required by law, and
WHEREAS, this Cguncil, after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That said public service easement also referred to
herein as public utilities easement, hereinafter described, is
unnecessary for present or prospective public use:
All that portion of a 20-foot wide Public Utilities
Easement in Tract No. 1001, as said Tract is Shown
on a map filed September 26, 1930 in Book 4 of Maps
at Page 127, Kern County Records, said portion
located east of and immediately adjacent to Lot
55, said Tract No. 1001 and lying between the
easterly extension of the south line of said
Lot 55 and the easterly extension of the north
line of the south 125 feet of said Lot 55.
2. That said public service easement be and the same is
hereby vacated and abandoned for public service easement purposes,
subject to and in conformity with the reservation of the easement
contained in and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention No.
860. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for
further particulars.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution, and shall cause a certified copy thereof, attested by
the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of Kern County, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 19th day of October, 1970, by
the following vote:
