A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD DIRECTING THAT THE UNPAID
ASSESSMENTS OF LESS THAN FIFTY DOLLARS
($50.00) FOR THE WORK CONDUCTED PURSUANT
TO PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 839
BE COLLECTED UPON THE TAX ROLL OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, Section 5450 et seq., of the Streets and High-
ways Code of the State of California provides that the legislative
body may by resolution direct that unpaid assessments of less than
fifty~.dollars ($50.00) for which no bonds have been issued shall be
collected upon the tax roll upon which the general taxes are
collected, and
WHEREAS, the list of unpaid assessments filed March 13,
1970, shows there exists within Public Improvement District No. 839
unpaid assessments of less than fifty dollars ($50.00) which may be
properly collected by this proceeding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
That the description of the property so assessed, the
amount of such assessment, together with interest thereon from the
date of filing the original list of unpaid assessments at the rate
of one per cent per month to the next succeeding thirty-first day
of December of the tax year for which the tax roll shall have been
prepared, and the total amount of principal and interest on such
property to be collected upon the tax roll upon which general taxes
are collected, is as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director of said
City be and he is hereby directed to extend upon the tax roll of
said City the total amount of the above assessments and interest.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 31st day of August, 1970, by the
following vote:
