A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPER-
VISORS OF THE COUNTY OF KERN TO PERMIT THE
COUNTY CLERK TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES
TO SAID CITY RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF THE
SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE
3RD DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1970.
Pursuant to Section 22003 of the Elections Code of the
State of California, the Council of the City of Bakersfield does
hereby RESOLVE, as follows:
1. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of Kern,
State of California, is hereby requested to permit the County Clerk
of said County to perform all services necessary for the City of
Bakersfield relating to the conduct of the Special Municipal Election
to be held in said City on the 3rd day of November, 1970, including
but not limited to the following:
(a) Prepare and send' out appointments to election
officers for each precinct for the Special Municipal Election and
make any substitutions necessary.
(b) Publish list of names of the election officers
appointed and the polling places designated for each election pre-
cinct. Such designated City officers are to be designated as such
on County Clerk's publication.
(c) Incorporate the propositions to be voted on at the
Special Municipal Election on the 3rd day of November, 1970, in the
ballot to be used in the State General Election on the same date.
(d) Canvass ballots and returns and furnish City with
certified copies of the results.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of August, 1970, by
the following vote:
