RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO INCLUDE WITHIN
THE GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF GRADE
DISTRICT A PORTION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS "WILSON ROAD NO. 1", AND
SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING
OBJECTIONS TO THE INCLUSION OF SAID TERRITORY
WITHIN SAID DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been commenced for the annexation
of certain unincorporated territory, designated as "Wilson Road No. 1",
to the City of Bakersfield, and
WHEREAS, a portion of said territory lies outside the
Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and
WHEREAS, Section 8290 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California, provides that the unincorporated territory
of a county which was not included within a separation of grade district
at the time of the formation of such district, and which subsequent
to the formation of such district is annexed to or otherwise included
within a city which is a part of such district, shall immediately
upon such annexation to such city be included within the district
and shall thereafter become a part of the district to the same extent
as such city; except such portion or portions thereof which the City
Council has determined, will not be benefited by inclusion in the
district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
1. That a description of a parcel of land to be annexed
to the Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, and which
is a portion of the "Wilson Road No. 1"- annexation, is as follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California,
and being a portion of Section 11, Township 30 South, Range 27 East,
M.D.B. & M., and more particularly d~scribed as fol~wS.~
All of the west one-half of Lot 17 as said Lot is shown on the
"Sales Map of Lands of Kern County Land Company in Section 11,
Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B. & M." filed for record
on January 25, 1894 in the Recorder's Office of said Kern CDunty.
2. That unless any portion shall be excluded by the
City Council, all portions of said unincorporated territory shall
upon annexation to the City of Bakersfield be included within the
Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District.
3. That Monday, the 17th day of August, 1970, at the
hour of 8:00 P. M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1501
Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, is the time when and the
place where, objections to inclusion within the district will be
heard.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 6th day of July , 1970, by
the following vote:
