HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 42-70 RESOLUTION NO. 42-70 A RESOLUTION OF TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD PERTAINING TO GENERAL ALTON B. SLAY WHEREAS, General Alton B. Slay has been ordered to a change of station, necessitating his departure from Edwards Air Force Base, and WHEREAS, during his stewardship as the Commanding General of Edwards Air Force Base, General Slay did at all times exemplify in the truest tradition of the United States Air Force the execution of the multitude of responsibilities entrusted to him, and WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield is the County Seat of the County of Kern, wherein Edwards Air Force Base is located, and upon many occasions General Alton Slay has visited this City on official business and as a guest, and in each instance enriching the City with his cooperation, understanding, and services on various panels, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield that this Council does hereby commend General Alton B.
